Since I was a child, I have been fascinated with my mother's stories from her childhood in post-World War II Germany. The mystery, tragedy, terror and hope that ran through my mother's early years before emigrating has long captivated my imagination.
Images of Departure is a work composed in three different characters, as if the work is a collection of three short stories, each illuminating some aspect of how I imagine life after war would be.
